I totally connected to your post when you mentioned the progress pictures people take in order to see how far they come. Their own reminder through images what they’ve accomplished is what builds them day in and day out. I think that everyone has foundation blocks in which they’ve built their life upon. Like you said, we look at childhood photos and maybe there’s a picture of a child holding a favorite superhero comic book; well once they grow up their favorite superhero is the same as it was years before. These are all simple reminders of who we are.

I really enjoyed reading this post about how we are affected by what we see through movies and media. I’ve come across similar posts on social media regarding miscommunication of news vs unrealistic news, and ultimately, people may not believe things completely, but they’ll put in the effort to care about it enough to search for more answers. This leads me to believe that, we are partially influenced by what we see. The example you used at the beginning when the explosion took place. There is no way that man is going to come outunscathed, but because it is a movie, they have the chance the portray it that way. I feel like whenever we get those reminders on the stunt shows like “Do not attempt this at home” are actually helpful, because people see stunts that they think they can try, but it just turns out all bad.
